A few years back we built an application in Oracle‘s Application Express for Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation. This application would take in information from applicants allowing them to give out grant funding every year. Recently, a few applicants mentioned that if they stepped away from their computer for some time and came back to finish the application they would be logged out. If they hadn’t submitted the current information, it wouldn’t be saved.
Extending Maximum Session Length
Login to your Application Express Workspace
Click on Application Builder
Select your application
Select Shared Components
Under Security click on Security Attributes
Under Session Timeout change Maximum Session Length in Seconds
Extending Maximum Session Idle Time
Login to your Application Express Workspace
Click on Application Builder

Under Security click on Security Attributes
Under Session Timeout change Maximum Session Idle Time in Seconds
If you change Maximum Session Idle Time in Seconds to 0 it prevents session idle checks from being performed.
