FAQs

You Have Questions And We Have Answers

You probably have a general idea of what we do.
We've answered some frequently asked questions to clear up a few things.

Q?

How Much Does A Website Cost?

A.

That is never an easy question to answer since it depends on so many different factors. At the very, very least, you are probably looking at $1500. The price will go up depending on how many pages, types of features, photography, and responsiveness to name a few. The easiest way to find out how much your project is going to cost, would be to have a chat. We provide free estimates to anyone looking at our services.

Q?

How Long Does A Website Take From Start To Finish?

A.

Usually, we give it about a month. At least, that's what we say for a standard website. This all depends on how fast both parties can respond to requests as well.

Q?

How Do You Handle Payments For Projects?

A.

When it comes to collecting payments for the work we do, we usually collect half of the project total at the very beginning of the project when the contract is signed. The rest, will be collected when the project is complete. Once the project is complete, you will have 30 days to pay the remaining total. Every 30 days the remaining total is not paid, a late fee is added to the invoice. If you think you'll have problems with this payment schedule, we can always discuss other options. We're pretty laid back, but we are still a business and need to cover business costs. As long as the suggested payment schedule is within reason, we probably won't have any objections.

Q?

What Types Of Payments Do You Accept?

A.

All of our invoices are issued through Freshbooks. On top of accepting cheques, this makes it possible to accept PayPal, and credit card payments. For larger amounts, we usually suggest cheques due to the fees attached to Paypal.

Q?

Do You Provide Hosting?

A.

We do! We have a reseller account through Varial Hosting located here in Saskatoon. If you would like us to host your website, whether it is created by us or not, we can! We can transfer over domains to our account as well or just redirect them from your current account. Usually we suggest transferring them, which brings everything together in once place. This lets you make one payment to us yearly, as opposed to a payments to us for the hosting, and then another provider for your domains.

Q?

What Is Hosting?

A.

Hosting is the space on the internet where you can store files. Usually used to store files for your website so they can be accessed through the internet.

Q?

What Is A Domain?

A.

A domain is your .com, .ca, etc. which people will type into their web browser to access your website. You can compare this to the address on your home. Instead of providing GPS coordinates to people to find your home, you can provide your address which is easier to remember. A domain is your address to your website.

Q?

What Kind Of Training Do You Provide?

A.

We can provide training in multiple Microsoft Office and Adobe products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Access, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc. These courses only run the length of a day, usually from 8:30am to 4pm. With the full day courses, we work hand-in-hand with Saskatoon Business College and suggest contacting them directly to book a course. Going through SBC gives you access to computers labs with the software already installed and ready to go. For custom courses, we will work with your company directly, usually coming to your office to train you on-site.
